Michael, a Manassite, was one of the men who joined David at Ziklag when he was fleeing from King Saul.
Michael was a Manassite warrior who deserted from Saul's army and joined David at Ziklag, making him one of the commanders who assisted David during the critical transition period before he became king (1 Chronicles 12:20). He is listed alongside other Manassite commanders of thousands and hundreds who helped David fight against the Amalekites after the raid on Ziklag. His crossing over to David reflects the widening support David enjoyed even from Saul's own tribal allies.
