अच्छा चरवाहा

The sacred bond between husband and wife, established by God at creation and used throughout Scripture as a metaphor for God's relationship with his people. Genesis 2:24 declares, 'A man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.' Malachi 2:14 calls marriage a covenant. Proverbs 2:17 speaks of 'the covenant she made before God.' Ephesians 5:31-32 reveals that marriage is 'a profound mystery' pointing to Christ and the church. God describes his relationship with Israel in marital terms (Hosea 2:19-20, Isaiah 54:5). Marriage is intended to be lifelong, exclusive, and faithful.
