a wife of Eliphaz

Patriarchs (Abraham–Joseph) Edom · H0464I
Old Testament

Wife or concubine of Eliphaz, was the mother of Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam, and Kenaz.

The wife (or primary wife, as distinct from the concubine Timna) of Eliphaz, son of Esau, is not named in the biblical text but is implied by the listing of his sons Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam, and Kenaz in Genesis 36:11 and 1 Chronicles 1:36. She was an Edomite woman whose sons became chiefs of the developing Edomite nation. The separate mention of Timna as Eliphaz's concubine and mother of Amalek suggests this unnamed wife held a higher status within the household of Esau's firstborn son.
