Ahinadab
Ahinadab, the son of Iddo, was one of Solomon's twelve governors, responsible for providing provisions for the king's household.
Ahinadab son of Iddo was one of Solomon's twelve district governors, responsible for provisioning the royal court from the territory of Mahanaim in Transjordan (1 Kings 4:14). Each governor supplied the king's household for one month of the year, making this a rotation of both honor and significant logistical responsibility. Mahanaim had been an important Transjordanian city, serving as the capital of Ish-bosheth's brief reign and later as David's refuge during Absalom's revolt. Ahinadab's appointment to this region indicates Solomon's continued integration of the Transjordanian territories into his administrative system.
