Old Testament

Conaniah, a Levite, was in charge of the offerings and distributions during Hezekiah's reign.

Conaniah was a leading Levite appointed by King Hezekiah of Judah to oversee the offerings and contributions brought to the temple during Hezekiah's religious reforms (2 Chronicles 31:12–13). He supervised the orderly storage and distribution of tithes, firstfruits, and dedicated things, with his brother Shimei as second in command. His administrative role in Hezekiah's reform illustrates the Chronicler's portrayal of Hezekiah as a king who restored proper Levitical order to Israel's worship after the apostasy of Ahaz.
