Gaddiel

Exodus & Wilderness > · H1427
Old Testament

Gaddiel, the son of Sodi, was the representative of the tribe of Zebulun among the twelve spies sent to explore Canaan.

Gaddiel son of Sodi was the representative spy from the tribe of Zebulun dispatched by Moses to explore the land of Canaan (Numbers 13:10). As one of the twelve tribal scouts, he participated in the forty-day reconnaissance of Canaan and returned with both the fruit of the land and the discouraging report about its formidable inhabitants. His role in the spying mission placed him at one of the most consequential moments of Israel's wilderness journey.
