Old Testament

Lahmi, the brother of Goliath, was killed by Elhanan the Bethlehemite.

Lahmi was the brother of Goliath the Gittite, a Philistine giant warrior killed in battle by Elhanan son of Jair the Bethlehemite (1 Chronicles 20:5). A textual parallel in 2 Samuel 21:19 reads differently and has been a subject of extensive scholarly discussion regarding whether it was Goliath himself or his brother who was slain. The Chronicler's version explicitly identifies Lahmi as the brother, preserving Goliath's death for David alone. Like Goliath, Lahmi belonged to the Rephaim, a class of giant warriors associated with Gath.
