Mattatha was an ancestor of Jesus Christ, mentioned in His genealogy.
Mattatha appears in Luke's genealogy of Jesus as a son of Nathan son of David, placed in the generation after David (Luke 3:31). He is part of the Davidic line through Nathan rather than Solomon, which is the distinctive feature of Luke's genealogy compared with Matthew's. As with many names in this list, Mattatha does not appear in the Old Testament record and is known only from this genealogical context.
