Uzal, a descendant of Shem, was one of Joktan's sons.
Uzal was a son of Joktan and great-grandson of Shem, listed in the Table of Nations in Genesis 10:27 and 1 Chronicles 1:21 among the Arabian peoples descended from Eber. He is generally identified with an ancient city in Yemen known as San'a or Awzal, which older Arabic sources sometimes call Uzal. Ezekiel 27:19 may reference this region as a trading partner of Tyre, though the textual reading is uncertain.
