Aher

Aher was a son of Shemer (or Shomer) and a descendant of Asher, mentioned in the genealogical list of the tribe in 1 Chronicles 7:34. The tribe of Asher settled along the northern Mediterranean coast of Canaan and the Galilean highlands. Aher's name, possibly meaning 'another' or 'following,' is unusual and may reflect a secondary or additional son recorded in the genealogy.
