Ardon

Ardon was a son of Caleb by his wife Azubah, listed in the genealogy of Judah in 1 Chronicles 2:18. He is one of three sons born to Caleb and Azubah—the others being Jesher and Shobab—and he represents one of the Calebite sub-clans that settled in the territory of southern Judah. The Calebites were prominent in Judah, with Caleb receiving Hebron as his inheritance for his faithfulness in the wilderness spying mission (Joshua 14:13–15). Ardon himself plays no further role in the biblical narrative and is known exclusively from this genealogical record.
