Jahdiel was a mighty warrior and head of a father's house in the half-tribe of Manasseh, east of the Jordan.
Jahdiel was a mighty warrior and head of a father's house in the eastern half-tribe of Manasseh, settled in the Transjordan (1 Chronicles 5:24). He is listed among the heads of the Manassite families who are described as 'famous men' and 'mighty warriors.' The passage notes that these Manassites sinned against the God of their fathers by going after the gods of the peoples of the land, leading God to stir up Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria against them (1 Chronicles 5:25–26), so that Jahdiel's family was among those carried into exile.
