Zebah was a Midianite king who, along with Zalmunna, was defeated and killed by Gideon during the time of the judges.
Zebah was a king of Midian who, together with Zalmunna, commanded the forces that had terrorized Israel before Gideon's decisive campaign. After Gideon's initial victory, Zebah and Zalmunna fled east with about fifteen thousand surviving troops, but Gideon pursued them across the Jordan, captured them at Karkor, and executed them (Judges 8:5–21). Before his execution Zebah was questioned about men he had killed at Tabor, and Gideon identified them as his own brothers, providing personal motivation for the death sentence.
