遍在

The divine attribute that God is present everywhere simultaneously. Psalm 139:7-10 asks, 'Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?' Whether ascending to heaven, descending to Sheol, or fleeing to the farthest sea, God is there. Jeremiah 23:23-24 affirms that God fills heaven and earth. Solomon acknowledged at the temple dedication that 'the heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you' (1 Kings 8:27). God's omnipresence means no place is beyond his knowledge, care, or governance. For believers, this is a source of comfort; for those who resist God, there is no hiding place.
