Joshua 23:15
Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the Lord your God promised you; so shall the Lord bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the Lord your God hath given you.

Joshua's farewell warning 'as all good things are come upon you, which the Lord your God promised you; so shall the Lord bring upon you all evil things' applies the bilateral logic of Deuteronomic covenant theology — blessing for obedience, curse for disobedience — as the hermeneutical framework for reading both Israel's past success and its potential future failure. The verse functions as proleptic interpretation: the same faithful God who kept the blessings will keep the warnings, and therefore Israel's enjoyment of covenant gifts provides no security if covenant loyalty is abandoned. The Deuteronomistic Historian uses this principle throughout 1-2 Kings to explain the course of Israel's history from prosperity to exile. The passage has been applied in Christian ethics to warn against spiritual complacency following seasons of divine blessing.
