Beeri

Beeri the Hittite was the father of Judith, one of the Canaanite women whom Esau took as a wife (Genesis 26:34). The marriages of Esau to Hittite women, including Judith daughter of Beeri and Basemath daughter of Elon, are described as 'a grief of mind to Isaac and Rebekah' (Genesis 26:35), highlighting the covenantal tension created when the elder twin aligned himself with the surrounding Canaanite population. Beeri is otherwise unknown in the biblical record.
