Elishah

Elishah was a son of Javan and a great-grandson of Noah through the line of Japheth, recorded in the Table of Nations (Genesis 10:4; 1 Chronicles 1:7). His descendants are associated in Ezekiel 27:7 with blue and purple dye traded to Tyre, suggesting an identification with Mediterranean coastal peoples. Scholars have proposed connections with Cyprus (Alashiya) or regions of the Aegean world, making Elishah an ancestor of the early Greek or island-dwelling peoples in the biblical ethnographic tradition.
