Hammolecheth, the sister of Gilead, was the mother of Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.
Hammolecheth was a woman of the tribe of Manasseh, sister of Gilead's son Machir, whose name means 'the queen' or 'she who reigns' (1 Chronicles 7:18). She was the mother of Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah, making her the ancestress of the Abiezrite clan from which Gideon descended (Judges 6:11, 34). Her name and her connection to Gideon's lineage give her a unique significance in the genealogical tradition of Manasseh, preserving the memory of a woman of evident status in early Israelite society.
