Hamul was a son of Perez and a grandson of Judah, mentioned in the genealogies of Genesis, Numbers, and 1 Chronicles.
Hamul was a son of Perez and grandson of Judah, listed in Genesis 46:12 among those who descended to Egypt with Jacob. His descendants, the Hamulites, are numbered in the second wilderness census of Numbers 26:21. Through his brother Hezron, Hamul was the uncle of the Hezronite clans from which David and ultimately Jesus descended, placing him near the ancestral roots of the Davidic messianic line.
