Jeberechiah

Jeberechiah was the father of Zechariah, who served as a reliable witness to Isaiah's writing of the name Maher-shalal-hash-baz on a large tablet—a sign that Assyria would plunder Damascus and Samaria (Isaiah 8:2). The choice of witnesses for a prophetic sign document was meant to lend credibility to the prophetic announcement when it was later fulfilled. Jeberechiah is known only through this brief but significant role as the father of a witness to one of Isaiah's most dramatic prophetic acts.
