Jehuel was a Levite from the family of Heman who participated in the cleansing of the temple during King Hezekiah's reign.
Jehuel was a Levite from the family of Heman who participated in the consecration and cleansing of the temple during King Hezekiah's great religious reformation (2 Chronicles 29:14). He and his brother Shimei worked alongside Levites from other families to remove the defilement from the sanctuary that had accumulated during the reign of Ahaz. Hezekiah's reformation, described in 2 Chronicles 29–31, is presented as one of the most thorough religious restorations in Judah's history, and figures like Jehuel were essential participants in the physical work of restoration.
