마르스나

Marsena was one of the seven princes of Persia and Media who had direct access to the king and sat in the first place in the kingdom of Ahasuerus (Xerxes I) (Esther 1:14). He was among the wise men versed in law and justice consulted by the king about the appropriate punishment for Queen Vashti's refusal to appear before the royal banquet. He is mentioned only in this single verse and his name reflects the Persian administrative context of the book of Esther.
