Memucan, a wise prince who advised King Ahasuerus to depose Queen Vashti.

Memucan was one of the seven wise princes of Persia and Media whose advice shaped the response to Queen Vashti's refusal at King Ahasuerus's banquet (Esther 1:14, 16, 21). He proposed the formal decree that Vashti be deposed and that the king choose a new queen, arguing that Vashti's disobedience would inspire all women throughout the empire to defy their husbands. The king and his princes accepted this advice, and Memucan's proposal set in motion the chain of events that would bring Esther to the throne.
