Naarah was one of the two wives of Ashhur, the father (ie founder) of Tekoa, mentioned in the genealogy of Judah.
Naarah was one of the two wives of Ashhur, the founder of Tekoa in the territory of Judah, and the mother of Ahuzzam, Hepher, Temeni, and Haahashtari (1 Chronicles 4:5–6). She is mentioned alongside Ashhur's other wife Helah in the genealogical section of 1 Chronicles 4 that records the descendants of Judah. The listing of both wives with their respective children reflects the genealogical convention of distinguishing the family lines within a polygamous household.
