Zuar

Exodus & Wilderness Tribe of Issachar · H6686
Old Testament

Zuar was the father of Nethanel, a leader of the tribe of Issachar during the wilderness wanderings.

Zuar was the father of Nethanel, the leader appointed to represent the tribe of Issachar in the first census of Israel taken in the wilderness of Sinai (Numbers 1:8; 2:5; 7:18; 10:15). Nethanel son of Zuar is listed consistently in the administrative and liturgical rosters of the wilderness period whenever the tribal leaders are enumerated. Zuar is known solely through this paternal relationship to the Issacharite representative.
