Great Sea

The Great Sea, also known as the Sea of the Philistines, refers to the Mediterranean Sea, which formed the western boundary of the Promised Land (Numbers 34:6-7; Joshua 1:4; 9:1; 15:12, 47; 23:4; Ezk.47.10, 15, 19-20; 48:28; Exodus 23:31).
