'He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God' — the cosmic scope of divine salvation ('all the ends of the earth') in Psalm 98 locates Israel's particular experience of redemption within a universal witness. The psalm employs the vocabulary of holy war ('his right hand and his holy arm have gotten him victory,' verse 1), presenting eschatological salvation as a divine warrior's achievement.
