a wife of Simeon

An unnamed wife of Simeon, Jacob's second son, is implied in the genealogy of Genesis 46:10 and Exodus 6:15 as the mother of five of his six sons: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, and Zerah. His sixth son Shaul is described as the son of a Canaanite woman, implying the other five were born to a non-Canaanite wife. Nothing further is known of this unnamed woman, though her sons became the founding figures of the sub-clans of the tribe of Simeon.
