Bezer

Bezer was a descendant of Asher through Helem (also called Hotham), listed in the Asherite genealogy of 1 Chronicles 7:37. He appears among the sons of Helem described as 'able men, mighty warriors, and outstanding leaders' (1 Chronicles 7:40). His name, meaning 'fortress' or 'stronghold,' is fitting for a figure placed in the register of Asher's military-capable tribal leadership.
