Hanan

Hanan son of Maacah was one of David's thirty mighty men, the elite warrior corps listed in 1 Chronicles 11:43. He is one of several warriors in the extended list whose geographical designation—the Maachathites inhabited a region northeast of the Sea of Galilee—suggests that David's military following included men from territories beyond the traditional Israelite heartland.
