Hattush

Hattush was a descendant of David through the line of Zerubbabel, listed in 1 Chronicles 3:22 as a grandson of Shechaniah son of Zerubbabel. He may be the same Hattush who returned from Babylon with Ezra as head of a family (Ezra 8:2) and who helped repair the walls of Jerusalem under Nehemiah (Nehemiah 3:10). His Davidic lineage made him a figure of potential symbolic importance in the post-exilic community, though no royal role is attributed to him.
