Raamah was a son of Cush, grandson of Ham, and great-grandson of Noah, mentioned in the Table of Nations.
Raamah was a son of Cush, a grandson of Ham, and a great-grandson of Noah, listed in the Table of Nations (Genesis 10:7; 1 Chronicles 1:9). He is the father of Sheba and Dedan, who became ancestors of the trading peoples of southern Arabia and East Africa. Ezekiel 27:22 pairs Raamah and Sheba as merchants who traded spices, precious stones, and gold in the markets of Tyre, reflecting the historical role of South Arabian peoples in the ancient Near Eastern trade network. His descendants are generally located in the region of southwestern Arabia.
