Zabdi the Shiphmite was in charge of King David's wine cellars.
Zabdi the Shiphmite was appointed as the official in charge of the produce of the vineyards and the wine cellars for the stores during King David's administrative organization of the royal household (1 Chronicles 27:27). He is listed among the overseers of various agricultural enterprises that supplied the royal court. Zabdi appears only in this administrative list and his tribal identification as a 'Shiphmite' likely indicates his origin from Shepham in the Transjordan region.
