'And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night' — the heavenly anthem following Satan's expulsion from heaven declares that the Accuser's constant prosecution of the saints has been permanently silenced. The 'day and night' accusing echoes Zechariah 3:1–5 where Satan accuses Joshua the high priest before God, and Romans 8:33–34's 'who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect?' celebrates the same legal victory. The overcomer's threefold weapon in verse 11 — blood of the Lamb, word of testimony, not loving life unto death — provides the pattern for engaging the accuser in every generation.
