Bela

Bela was a descendant of Reuben, the son of Azaz and grandson of Shema, listed among the notable Reubenite leaders in 1 Chronicles 5:8. He is placed in the eastern territory stretching from Aroer to Mount Nebo and Baal-meon. The same name appears as a Benjamite ancestor and as the first king of Edom (Genesis 36:32), but this particular Bela belongs to the Reubenite genealogy of the Divided Monarchy period.
