Meshillemoth

Meshillemoth was an Ephraimite leader whose son Berechiah played a notable role in preventing the enslavement of Judahite captives taken by King Pekah of Israel (2 Chronicles 28:12). When Pekah captured 200,000 people from Judah, Berechiah and other Ephraimite chiefs opposed the prophet Oded's warning and secured the release and proper care of the prisoners. Meshillemoth is known only through this paternal relationship to Berechiah.
