Ohad

Ohad was the third son of Simeon listed in the genealogy of Jacob's sons who went down to Egypt (Genesis 46:10; Exodus 6:15). Curiously, he is absent from the later census list of Simeonite clans in Numbers 26:12–13, which lists only five of the six sons. This omission has led scholars to suggest that Ohad's line died out before the wilderness period or that his name was accidentally dropped from the Numbers text. He appears only in these early genealogical registers.
