Uzza

Tribe of Benjamin · H5798H
Old Testament

Uzza was a Benjamite born in Moab during the exile.

Uzza was a Benjamite born to Ehud while the clan was living in Moab during a period of exile, mentioned in the genealogy of Benjamin in 1 Chronicles 8:7. The same name is borne by several other figures in the Old Testament, including the keeper of the garden of Manasseh and Amon (2 Kings 21:18, 26) and the son of Abinadab who was struck dead for touching the ark (2 Samuel 6:3–8, though that figure is usually spelled Uzzah). This particular Uzza is known only from the Benjamite genealogy.
