Jeremiah 31:12
Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the Lord, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

Study Note
The restored community's singing 'in the height of Zion, and flowing together to the goodness of the Lord, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd' presents restoration in sensory, agricultural abundance — physical flourishing as the embodiment of covenant renewal. The verse belongs to Jeremiah's 'Book of Consolation' (chapters 30-33), which contains some of the Hebrew prophets' most expansive promises of restoration after the devastation of exile. The comparison of Israel's restored life to a 'watered garden' (verse 12b) invokes the Eden imagery of Genesis 2:10's river watering the garden, suggesting that restoration is also a creation-renewal. Isaiah 60's extended vision of national restoration and Revelation 22's river of life flowing through the new Jerusalem develop the same garden-city imagery to its eschatological completion.

And they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow unto the goodness of Jehovah, to the grain, and to the new wine, and to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.
And they have come in, And have sung in the high place of Zion, And flowed unto the goodness of Jehovah, For wheat, and for new wine, and for oil, And for the young of the flock and herd, And their soul hath been as a watered garden, And they add not to grieve any more.
So they will come with songs on the high places, flowing together to the good things of the Lord, to the grain and the wine and the oil, to the young ones of the flock and of the herd: their souls will be like a watered garden, and they will have no more sorrow.
