Adnah was one of the Manassite leaders who defected to David at Ziklag while he was hiding from Saul.
Adnah was a warrior from the tribe of Manasseh who defected to David at Ziklag while David was hiding from King Saul among the Philistines (1 Chronicles 12:20). He was among several Manassite captains who joined David before the battle of Jezreel, though they were dismissed by the Philistine lords. These Manassite defectors became commanders of thousands in David's growing army. Adnah represents the cross-tribal support that David attracted even before he became king, as military men from both sides of the Jordan recognized his leadership and rallied to his cause.
