Azariah

Azariah was a descendant of Jerahmeel through the lineage of Judah, mentioned briefly in the genealogical records of 1 Chronicles 2:38. His single appearance in Scripture places him in the tribal register of Judah during the period of the Divided Monarchy, with no narrative events attached to his name. He is one of many Azariahs in the Old Testament—a name meaning 'Yahweh has helped'—whose significance lies in preserving the continuity of his ancestral line.
