Azrikam

Azrikam was a descendant of King David through Jehoiachin, listed in the post-exilic genealogy of 1 Chronicles 3:23. He belonged to the sixth generation after Jehoiachin and appears in a genealogy that the Chronicler preserved to demonstrate the continuity of the Davidic line even after the Babylonian exile. His name, meaning 'my help has arisen,' reflects the hopeful naming practices of the exilic community.
