Buzi, a priest, was the father of Ezekiel the prophet.

Buzi was a priest, known in the biblical record as the father of the prophet Ezekiel (Ezekiel 1:3). Ezekiel's priestly lineage is significant because it shaped his prophetic ministry, particularly his intense concern for the temple, its pollution by Israel's sin, and its eventual restoration. Buzi himself is not described in any narrative, but his priestly identity connects Ezekiel to the Zadokite priesthood that served in the Jerusalem temple before the Babylonian exile.
