Dara

Dara was a son of Zerah, grandson of Judah, listed alongside his brothers Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Darda in 1 Chronicles 2:6. The same group appears in 1 Kings 4:31, where they are cited as renowned wise men whose wisdom Solomon surpassed. The variant spelling 'Darda' in Kings suggests textual variation between the two traditions. Dara's fame as a wise man, however modest compared to Solomon's, situates him in a tradition of Judahite wisdom associated with the descendants of Zerah.
