Japhlet

Japhlet was a son of Heber and a descendant of Asher, listed in 1 Chronicles 7:32–33. He is noted as the father of Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath. The name Japhlet also appears in Joshua 16:3 as a landmark on the boundary of Ephraim (the Japhletite), which may derive from an association with this Asherite family or from a separate geographic tradition. The sons of Japhlet in Chronicles are described as heads of their fathers' houses, mighty warriors.
