Jerimoth

Jerimoth was a Benjamite warrior who joined David at Ziklag during his flight from King Saul, listed in 1 Chronicles 12:5 among the fighting men who crossed to David's side before he became king. These early supporters are described as skilled archers and slingers who could use both right and left hands. The defection of Benjamites—members of Saul's own tribe—to David's cause is given special emphasis in this passage, demonstrating that even within the tribe of the rejected king, many recognized David as the Lord's anointed.
