The unnamed wives David took in Jerusalem, who bore him more sons and daughters.
The Jerusalem wives were the unnamed women David took in marriage after his court was established in Jerusalem, following his earlier marriages in Hebron (2 Samuel 5:13; 1 Chronicles 14:3). These unions produced numerous sons and daughters, including Eliada, Eliphelet, Nepheg, Japhia, Elishama, Elishua, Ibhar, and Nogah, among others. Their collective story illustrates the political and dynastic dimensions of royal polygamy in the ancient Near East, though none of the women are named individually in the surviving text.
