Maai

Maai was a Levite musician who participated in the dedication ceremony of Jerusalem's rebuilt wall during the time of Nehemiah, marching in one of the two great choirs (Nehemiah 12:36). He is listed among the musicians playing stringed instruments who followed Ezra the scribe in the first procession around the wall. He is known only from this single liturgical reference.
