Mezahab

Patriarchs (Abraham–Joseph) Edom · H4314
Old Testament

Mezahab was the grandfather of Mehetabel, who was the wife of Hadar, an Edomite king.

Mezahab was the father of Matred and the grandfather of Mehetabel, the wife of Hadar (or Hadad), one of the later kings of Edom (Genesis 36:39; 1 Chronicles 1:50). His name, meaning 'waters of gold,' is unusual and may reflect a place name rather than a personal name. He appears only in this genealogical context, known entirely through his descendants' connection to the Edomite royal house.
