Exodus & Wilderness Tribe of Reuben · H6396
Old Testament

Pallu was a son of Reuben and the ancestor of the Palluite clan within the tribe of Reuben.

Pallu was the second son of Reuben, Jacob's firstborn, listed among the seventy who went down to Egypt with Jacob (Genesis 46:9; Exodus 6:14). He became the ancestor of the Palluite clan within the tribe of Reuben (Numbers 26:5), and his son Eliab is mentioned in connection with Dathan and Abiram, who joined Korah's rebellion against Moses (Numbers 26:8–9). Pallu appears in the Reubenite genealogy across the Pentateuch and Chronicles.
